Available Lengths
Durodek™ profiled sheeting are cut at standard
lengths from 600 millimetres up to 12,000
millimeters. Custom-cut lengths greater than 12,000
millimeters are also available but special freight
and handling facilities will be required. Where
handling weights permit, Durodek™ should be used in
lengths that cover multiple spans.
On-Site Storage
Durodek™ profiled steel sheeting is packaged in
strapped bundles that should be stacked neatly off
the ground at a slight slope to allow adequate
drainage. To avoid exposure to rain and moisture,
they should be protected with waterproof covers.
Cutting
To trim Durodek™ sheets around projections such as
columns and stairways, use metal cutting blades or a
power saw fitted with an abrasive disc. It is
recommended that the sheets be cut through the pan
and ribs, then turn over to complete cutting of the
ribs.
Corrosion Protection
For durability and resistance, Durodek™ profiled
steel sheeting is zinc-coated to eliminate the need
for additional corrosion protection in normal
application. If Durodek™ profiled steel sheeting is
subjected to severe corrosive environments,
appropriate corrosion protection system is
recommended.
Sealing
Gaps between abutting Durodek™ sheets may be sealed
with waterproof tape to prevent seepage of water or
fine concrete slurry.
