DURO Purlins and
Girts are
precise
roll-formed from
high tensile
zinc-galvanised
steel.
They are
designed for use
as secondary
supports for a
wide range of
roofing and wall
cladding
materials
including
profiled metal
sheeting,
composite
panels, fibre
cement, slates
and tiles all
with or without
insulations as
required.
Due to the light
weight and high
strength of
steel, together
with its zinc-galvanised
surface, DURO
Purlins and
Girts are
versatile and
economical,
requiring
minimal
maintenance to
last as long as
the building
itself.
C and Z sections
DURO Purlins are
manufactured
from G275
preheated
galvanized steel
dipped with
coating mass of
275g/m2 on both
sides. For more
severe corrosive
environments,
G350 or G450
will be required
accordingly.
These heavier
coating classes
will only be
available on
minimum order
quantities and
longer leadtime.
Available in
custom cut
length of up to
a maximum of 12
metres for best
transportability.
For lengths
exceeding 12
metres, special
transport
permits such as
police escort
will be
required.
DURO Purlins and
Girts are
delivered in
strapped
bundles. The
actual
quantities in
each bundle will
vary according
to the section
type, size and
length. Each
bundle mass is
generally
limited to 1.2
tonnes for local
delivery. Proper
export packing
in containerized
shipment or
loose cargo
shipment will
allow 1.6 tonnes
for export
delivery.
